What is Havening?
Havening is very gentle and transformative techniques grounded in neuroscience as part of a larger group of psychosensory therapies. It works by transforming neural pathways through gentle touch, guided imagery and intention to de-traumatize memories, restore emotional balance and remove any negative or traumatic impact.
How does Havening work?
Havening is a psychosensory therapy which means it is a touch therapy. A certified practitioner will gently touch your arms, hands and face creating delta waves in the brain. At the same time using distraction techniques such as visualization allowing the brain to work with the delta waves and naturally occurring chemicals to permanently eliminate the emotional response.
Who is Havening good for?
Havening is very effective for those individuals who suffer from emotionally traumatic conditions such as Post Traumatic Stress, Anxiety, Fear, Depression, Grief, Anger, Guilt, Shame, Chronic Pain, Panic Attacks and Phobias. Havening has also been used to help with conditions caused by sexual assault, violent attacks, bullying and chronic verbal abuse.
