Intravenous Therapy

Intravenous therapy is a safe and effective way of delivering high doses of vitamins, minerals and amino acids directly into the body’s circulation. The advantages of administering these agents by intravenous rather than orally is that we don’t have to rely on the digestive tract in order to absorb them. In by-passing the digestive tract as well as the liver we are ensuring enhanced absorption of these substances directly into the tissues and cells of the body, thereby enhancing the therapeutic effect.

IV therapies can be safely and effectively used to aid or treat many different health conditions, they include:

  • Cancer

  • Fatigue

  • Migraine headaches

  • Chronic Infections

  • Immune boosting

  • PMS

  • General Anti-Aging

  • Asthma and Allergies

  • Arythmias

  • Hypertension

  • Autoimmune conditions

  • Flu/Colds

  • B12/Folate deficiency anemias

  • Malabsorption and digestive conditions (Ulcerative colitis, chron’s disease, celiac disease, IBS)

  • And much more

Nutrients commonly used in IV treatments include:

  • Vitamins: C, B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, B12

  • Minerals: Magnesium, Calcium, Selenium, Zinc

  • Amino Acids (protein)

  • Botanicals (herbs): Echinacea, Crataegus, Viscum

  • Immune Agents: Hydrochloric Acid, Glutathione

What common nutrients are used in IV Therapy?

  • Vitamins (Vitamin C and B Vitamins)

  • Minerals (Calcium, Zinc, Magnesium)

  • Antioxidants (Glutathione)

What are the benefits of Intravenous Therapy?

  • A safe and effective way to enhance cellular function, increase energy, boost immunity, and reduce recovery time by delivering nutrients directly to cells

  • Higher concentrations of nutrients than what can be administered orally.

  • Fewer gastrointestinal side effects (nausea, diarrhea, cramps etc.) than taking supplements because IV therapy bypasses the stomach and intestines

Intravenous (IV) Therapy uses a high dose of vitamins, minerals, amino acids, and plant extracts that are infused directly into the veins for enhanced absorption. When we orally ingest supplements, due to the processes that occur in our digestive systems and liver, there is a loss of nutrients. In addition, some individuals have difficulty with absorption in the digestive tract due to disease or merely age. IV Therapy allows for a higher concentration of desired nutrients to be delivered to specific tissues and cells via the bloodstream.

Acupuncture

Chinese medicine still has roots that date back to 5000 years ago and yet we still use it today, with marvellous results. Acupuncture has gained accolades the world over for its many therapeutic benefits. Addictions and pain management are the two most popular reasons: however, many have discovered results for injuries and immune- system disorders. The obvious psychological benefits are seen usually within the first two or three sessions.

During the treatment, the practitioner inserts very thin filaments into the acupuncture points, of which there are hundreds all over the human body. In a typical sitting the patient will have between 5-10 needles, depending on the condition and the presenting symptoms. Frequency of treatment is also dependent on the symptoms and their severity; however, in the western world, weekly visits are suggested, due to the stressful Canadian lifestyle.
